Have you been able to increase efficiency through the app?

We have had some fantastic results from The Noise App. With regards to the quality of the recordings coming through and the speed at which we can deal with cases, it has eased the pressure off our whole team. It has also reduced our waiting list for noise monitoring kits dramatically. When residents submit positive recordings to us, we can act on them much quicker. This has seen our waiting list drop from 12/13 weeks to no more than 2.

How have you been able to prioritise cases on The Noise App?

We have found the app to be a great tool, not only when residents send in recordings but also when they do not. We deal with cases that are reported as happening on and off for prolonged periods, but when directing these residents to The Noise App, we can instantly work out the severity of the complaint by the volume of recordings being submitted.

Has The Noise App helped with the resolution of cases?

We have been able to get an injunction on a resident with the help of The Noise App using the data gathered by the complainant on the app and by installing noise monitoring equipment. The complainant in question established the case using The Noise App, from which the quality of recordings helped us quickly learn that there was a need to install traditional noise monitoring equipment.  As the noise continued after we removed the equipment to review the recording, the complaint continued to use the app to make the case even stronger.

Any final comments?

In all, the general consensus from me and my colleagues is that it’s brilliant, and to be frank I don’t know what we’d do without it now.
